Friends Of The Museum

The Friends Inc. have quarterly general meetings held on the first weekend of February, May, August and November, at the Museum 76 Albury St. Holbrook, starting at 2.00pm on the Saturday.

The format of the meetings are, introduction, general business, show and tell, identification of mystery pieces, best from your collection and afternoon tea.

The show and tell segment gives you the opportunity to show no more than 5 pieces from the one potters/potteries from your collection you feel others should know about. The mystery piece segment gives you the chance to have one mystery piece from your collection identify (hopefully). In the best from your collection segment, you can show one nice piece from your collection, that will be judged (by all) to be the best piece at that meeting. This piece, if the owner is agreeable, will go on display in the Museum in a special cabinet with its information and owners name until the next meeting.

No one will be permitted to handle any of your pottery pieces at the meetings without your consent. After the meeting we all get together for dinner at one of the local restaurants. Sunday morning the Museum is open to members at 8.00am for the opportunity to spend time in the display area, have morning tea, and then at your leisure, you can head for home.
